Nine Drives is an abstract celebration of multiple automobiles in one 3 x 3 matrix of color, texture, light, and personality. Each graphic photo image expresses the individuality of the machine. Together they create an emotional, pictorial expression and comparison of automotive design in all of its beauty and diversity.
Nine Drives is the ‘Automobile as Art’ photographic artwork, concept, and design of Ron Rizzi of Delray Beach, Florida. Ron is no stranger to the automotive community. Ron uniquely has the urban legend notoriety of being responsible for creating the very first “Cars and Coffee” automobile event and morning meetup that began in 2001. It took place at the Race Car Store in Atlanta, Georgia, attracting hundreds of local automobile enthusiasts. Organizations such as Road Atlanta, ALMS, and the Panoz Racing School also participated in those monthly events.
Ron’s original Cars and Coffee was always meant to be an automotive charity event and a means of giving back to the local community. His wish was that others everywhere would hold an original Cars and Coffee event in their own community and help others while giving back, too.
Ron, as the President of the Delray Art League in Delray Beach, Florida, created Nine Drives to begin this new decade investing in the community once more. The Delray Art League has donated over $110,000 to art education and local community causes including the disabled, seniors, and children through the Delray Art Foundation’s Art Education Scholarship Fund.
The Delray Art League will celebrate its 55th Anniversary in 2021 and Ron plans for Nine Drives to make a significant contribution to the continued growth of the League’s Art Education Scholarship Fund. With every purchase you will help make a difference. A percentage of profits from each piece sold will be dedicated to the League’s Fund, supporting the disabled, seniors, and children with art supplies and education scholarship programs in the community, and also defray costs for the artists who volunteer and help bring new ideas and iconic works to help others in the community.
